  • Joe Steel

    CO-FOUNDER

    A road haulage technology and services entrepreneur and commercial driver professional, Joe was born in The Netherlands to British parents and spent 15 years in Hong Kong, before moving with his family to live in Delhi, India in 2007 and then to the UK in 2010.

    2011 -Joined the British Army where he spent 5 years as a driver specialist in The Royal Logistics Corps attached to 721 Squadron, 11 Electronic Ordinance Disposal Regiment (EOD): following a family tradition in military transport operations going back over 70 years to his grandfathers who both served in the Royal Air Force as driver specialists.

    After leaving the British Army in 2016 travelled extensively in Europe, later operating as an independent driver professional for a number of UK and European transportation logistics companies in a range of fields within the industry including HGV Long Distance Haulage; Car Transporting; Private Hire and Public Service Coaches, and VIP/Band Touring Buses.

    2019 - Established GinJahJoe, Ltd in the UK, supporting companies across the country and Europe with specialist commercial driver services.

    2020 - Collaborated with Peter Steel - a globally experienced digital media technologist - to design what has since become the core framework of a trucking industry oriented IP concept that now has UK and International Patent Pending status.

    2021 - Co-founded MiKro-Z, Ltd with Peter Steel - with the aim to take advantage of 3D geospatial software and telematics to help improve efficiencies across the supply chain for road hauliers.

    2022 the company made available its free-to-use MiKro-Z mobile app to truck drivers through the Apple App Store and Google Play.

    MiKro-Z aim to make available beta versions of its first logistics distribution centre operational data focused enterprise products to road haulage companies during 2024, to add value to existing fleet management software solutions used by the industry.

    Joe is based in Hong Kong.

  • Peter Steel

    CO-FOUNDER

    Operating globally for over 35-yrs as a digital media technologist, strategic business development executive and consultant: Peter has based in Hong Kong, China, SE Asia, India and the Middle East; with extensive experience in North America, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, Japan and South Korea.

    He has provided consulting to VC’s in the area of digital media technology investment and M&A. And strategic support to CXO’s of mature & startup, digital media production & technology development companies: incl; ‘Digital Domain’, Los Angeles VFX studio founded by James Cameron; ‘NDTV’ in India; Dayang - China’s largest broadcast technology company; and 'Kaydara', the Montreal developer of 'MotionBuilder’, the motion capture production technology software (now part of Autodesk), used in ‘The Matrix’, ‘Lord of the Rings’ and numerous leading character based platform games.

    1992 - Founded 3D software distributor ElectroGIG APAC in Hong Kong. Sold to ELECTROGIG Inc in USA.

    1993 - Co-Founded Computer Images China magazine in Hong Kong & Beijing. Sold to Chinese Publisher,

    2012- Secured US$100MM UAE Government grant for US based Digital Domain to establish a MENA region digital media film production hub in Abu Dhabi.

    2014 - Co-Founded KwyZe in Hong Kong to provide digital media consulting to NGOs in SE Asia/India; moving to Mumbai in 2015.

    2018 - Co-Founded DaaZana in UK/India; a social venture developing Geospatial data technology tools to ‘empower people to anonymously make visible the behavioural health of their organisations’.

    2021 - Co-Founded MiKro-Z with Joe Steel.

    Peter operates between Hong Kong and the UK.
